About Me.JPG

kirsten stewart, fertility yoga instructor + postpartum doula

I longed for my own baby for five and a half years. I buried myself, unable to come up for air most of the time. It was here that I truly learned how to nurture myself, mothering myself to face each day and learning how to trust myself in the decisions I make for my body to work towards bringing home our baby. Our second IVF transfer in November 2019 worked. We transferred our remaining two embryos and our beautiful baby girl was born the following August.

Infertility changed me, pregnancy and birth transformed me, and postpartum forced me to start all over again. Similar to infertility, my postpartum period birthed feelings of aimlessness, tiredness, isolation, and also pure, unadulterated joy. It is also the most profound experience in a woman’s life, nurturing new life and her new identity. It’s the perfect opportunity to allow nurturing from others, which makes ALL the difference, and that’s where I come in.

As I reflect in awe and wonder on our journey, it’s evident how it steered me into this work. I completed full spectrum doula training with DONA International certified doulas and specialize in fertility and postpartum care. This is my soul work. My passion lies in helping individuals or couples that are wading through infertility and/or treatments, and then continuing on to help with prenatal care through postpartum. I believe this is the most important work, for it is the most pivotal experience in one’s life. Nurture, grow.
